A 9 volt alkaline battery
(not included) has not been
installed or needs to be replaced.
Messages have been received.
System is in Answer Mode and
battery has been installed.

Allow 10 seconds for unit to check
memory. When complete, the unit
will emit a beep.
Play your messages.
Install a fresh 9 volt alkaline
battery (for power failure
protection). Unit is functional
without the battery. The battery is
only necessary for power failure
protection.
Press PLAY button to hear your
messages.
No action required. Unit is
ready to receive calls.
