2. Manual Switch (Remote) – Switch Controller in Remote (AUTO Mode): How does a
user manually switch the standby TX on-air remotely? The Switch Controller must be in
Remote (Auto) mode. Please see below for the proper steps to follow, step a or b,
depending on which TX is on-air. Step c highlights an alternative when TXB is on-air.
a. If TXA is on and into the antenna, and you wish to switch TXB on-air, turn TXA
PA Off via the TXA PA web interface. This will cause the Switch Controller to
switch to TXB.
b. If TXB is on and into the antenna, and you wish to switch TXA on-air, turn TXB
PA Off via the TXB PA web interface. This will cause the Switch Controller to
switch to TXA.
c. Also, If TXB is on and into the antenna, and you wish to switch TXA on-air, you
could alternatively turn TXA PA On via TXA PA web interface. This will cause
the Switch Controller to turn both TXs On for roughly 30 seconds before
switching to TXA and turning TXB off into the load. Note: Because TXA has
higher priority, this will not work the other way. If TXA is on-air and would wish
to switch to TXB, turning TXB On will not cause a switch to TXB, the Switch
Controller will turn both TXs on for roughly 30 seconds but will keep TXA
switched on-air and will turn TXB back off and into the load. Note: The Switch
Controller insures that one TX is on and one TX is off (after its 30 second period
of power monitoring). If you desire to turn both TXs Off at the same time, or
both TXs On at the same time, you will need to set both PAs to Local mode (via
