Dear customer.
Thank you for purchasing this alarm clock.
You are now the owner of an alarm clock which will reliably
display the accurate time. We hope you enjoy using your alarm
clock!
Safety information
Please read these instructions carefully and completely before
using the clock for the first time so that you can benefit from all
the functions. Please retain these instructions for later referen-
ce. The guarantee card is included.
Intended purpose
This device is designed only for use as a alarm clock. Any use
other than that described in these instructions is not permitted
and may lead to damages and injury. No liability shall be accep-
ted for damages resulting from improper use.
Risks to children
Children do not recognise the risks which may arise as a result of
improper use of electrical equipment. Children should therefore
be kept away from the device. If swallowed, batteries may en-
danger life. Therefore ensure that batteries and the product are
kept out of the reach of small children. If a battery is swallowed,
immediate medical help must be sought.
Warning against personal injury
Do not attempt to carry out repairs to the alarm clock yourself.
Attention – damage to the clock
Protect the alarm clock from direct sunlight or heat, major tem-
perature fluctuations, moisture, dust and impact. Do not use
any cleaning agents which contain abrasives or solvents to clean
the alarm clock. Remove the battery from the clock when it is
spent or if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
This will prevent any damage occurring due to leakage. Further
information and explanations can be found in the directions for
use.

Battery:
3 x 1.5 V LR06 AA battery
Operating temperature range:
0° C to 50° C
Setting up
Pull down the lid of the battery compartment (5) (at the back
of the case). Insert three new 1.5 V AA LR06 batteries ensuring
correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. Put lid
(5) back on again.
Setting date and time
1. Push the Time Set button (9) for more than 2 seconds
until the hour flashes. Now the Time-Setting-Mode is
activated.
2. Set the correct hour using the arrow buttons (6)
3. If you press the Time Set button (9) again briefly, you
will change to setting the minutes.
4. Set the correct minute using the arrow buttons (6)
5. If you press the Time Set button (9) again briefly, you
will change to setting the year.
6. Set the correct year by using the arrow buttons (6)
7. If you press the Time Set button (9) again briefly, you
will change to setting the month.
8. Set the correct month by using the arrow buttons (6)
9. If you press the Time Set button (9) again briefly, you
will change to setting the date.
10. Set the correct date by using the arrow buttons (6)
The correct day will shown automatically.
11. To quit the Time Setting mode, push the Time Set button
(9) briefly again or do nothing.
You can change between 12 and 24-hour display using the arrow
button (2) down
at any.

RESET
On rare occasions the clock may not respond when pressing but-
tons. In this case, you need to reset the clock by pressing the
RESET button (7) using a pen or a needle. In this case you will
have to set up the clock again.
Set alarm time
1. Push Alarm Set button (8) for more than 2 seconds
until the hour flashes. Now the Alarm Setting mode is
activated.
2. Set the correct hour by using the arrow buttons (6)
3. If you press the Alarm Set button (8) again briefly, you
will change to setting the minutes.
4. Set the correct minute by using the arrow buttons (6)
5. If you press the Alarm-Set button (8) again briefly,
you will activate the alarm.
Interrupt alarm (snooze)
Press the button (1) on top of the alarm clock. The alarm is in-
terrupted for approx. 4–5 minutes and then sounds again. The
snooze function can be repeated around 5 times.
Automatic switch-off
If the alarm is not interrupted or switched off, it stops automa-
tically after approx. 1/2 minute. It is re-activated 24 hours later
at the set time.
Illumination
To be able to read the face of your alarm clock even when it is
dark, briefly press the button (1) on the top of the alarm clock.
The illumination function is activated for 3 seconds. The alarm
clock is equipped with an automatic backlight, which activates
in the dark. The intensity can be adjusted via the switch (4).
Changing the battery
1. Remove the spent batteries.
2. When the batteries are removed, all of the alarm clock's
settings are lost.
3. Insert three 1.5 V LR06 AA batteries noting the polarity
marking (+/–) in the battery compartment.
Note:
Please follow the battery regulations.
Spent batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
Please hand spent batteries to your local dealer, a public hazar-
dous waste site or battery collection point. Never open, short-
circuit or throw spent batteries into the fire. Please use new 1.5
V LR06 AA batteries. If you do not comply with these regulati-
ons, batteries may be discharged via their phase-to-earth vol-
tage, resulting in a risk of leakage. Should the batteries in your
clock leak, remove them immediately to prevent damage to the
clock. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. On
contact with battery acid, rinse the affected area thoroughly
with water and/or seek medical advice.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

Cleaning
Clean the alarm clock case by wiping it with a slightly moist
cloth. Do not use solvents, cleansing agents or abrasives.
Warranty
Your DUGENA clock is warranted by NOVA TEMPORA Uhren und
Schmuck GmbH for a period of 36 months since the date of
purchase. During the warranty period all defects in material

that we, NOVA TEMPORA Uhren und Schmuck GmbH, at our sole
discretion, consider that repair is not practicable or inefficient,

our obligation and options under this warranty are limited
solely to replacing the watch with the same style or a style of
comparable value. This warranty includes the movement, hands
and dial.
Defects caused by improper handling, incorrect use or natural
wear (for example, by impacts, breaks, falling down) are exclu-
ded from the warranty. This warranty does not comprise brace-
let/strap, crown and glass.
The amount of any compensation is limited to the purchase price
of the watch. Liability for incidental and consequential damages
is excluded.
The warranty lapses if service and repair of the watch is not
performed by NOVA TEMPORA or a specialist authorized by NOVA
TEMPORA.
To make use of the guarantee that you must present the warran-
ty certificate, which has been filled out completely and correctly
by an authorized DUGENA dealer. The amount of any compen-
sation is limited to the purchase price of the clock. Liability for
incidental and consequential damages is excluded.
The warranty lapses if service and repair of the clock is not per-
formed by NOVA TEMPORA or a specialist authorized by NOVA
TEMPORA.
In case of warranty please contact an authorized Dugena dealer,
preferably the retail shop from which your clock has been pur-
chased, by submitting the clock together with the invoice and
the properly filled-in warranty card. Shipment is at your own
risk.
The rights granted to the customer in this warranty are in ad-
dition to the warranty deed for a period of two (2) years from
delivery to the seller of the clock.
Limited Warranty
This limited warranty applies only to customers who have pur-
chased the product from an authorized dealer or reseller in a
Member State of the European Union. The rights granted to the
customer in this warranty are in addition to the warranty deed
under the law of the country in which he purchased the product
(in the EU for a period of two (2) years after delivery) against
the seller of the clock.
