5. Connecting TRI AVATAR and MIDI Interface

1) Connect only the TRI AVATARʼs MIDI IN terminal to the MID interfaceʼs MIDI OUT terminal

2) Turn on the power to the TRI AVATAR while holding down both the MODE and EDIT switches.

The PRESET 1‒4 LEDs above the SELECT switches turn on and oﬀ in sequence and the PRESET MODE

LED and MANUAL MODE LED above the MODE switch and the EDIT LED above the EDIT switch illuminate.

The TRI AVATAR is now ready to receive data.

6. Data Transmission

1)Click the "Send(F4)" button located in the lower left section of the SendSxʼs main screen.

As soon as the data transmission starts as shown below, the PRESET 1 LED on the TRI AVATAR ﬂashes.

The PRESET 1‒4 LEDs ﬂash and illuminate steadily starting from the PRESET 1 LED. When all of the

PRESET 1‒4 LEDs illuminate, then the data writing process is completed.

CAUTION!

Even when the indication on the SendSX shows that the data transfer is completed, the writing process on

the TRI AVATAR is not completed until all of the PRESET 1‒4 LEDs turn on.

Never turn oﬀ the power to the TRI AVATAR during the data transmission and writing process.

When all of the PRESET 1‒ 4 LEDs illuminate, press the MODE switch to reboot and to be ready for

operation. This completes the ﬁrmware update procedure.
