2090 MAINTENANCE & OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS AND SCHEDULES
These tasks should be performed at the beginning of each shift and checked between roll changes:
TO START MACHINE
Turn Main Disconnect power "ON"
Verify minimum of 80 psi Air to the machine.
Pull all E-stops out.
Verify the Temperature Controllers are up to proper temperature (not alarmed).
Select Hand or Auto Mode.
Press Start.
TO SHUTDOWN MACHINE
Turn the Top Sealer Switch to the "Off" position.
WARNING: Allow approximately 10 minutes for air to continue to flow through the Heat Plenums
cooling the Heat Elements properly to avoid warping of the Heat Plenums and guard against
heat damage to the Film Feed Belts before turning the Main Disconnect to the "OFF"
position.
Turn the Main Disconnect to the "OFF" position.
VERTICAL HEAT SEALER
Scrape plastic buildup off Vertical Hot Knife with the Hamer Hot Knife Scraper only.
Check the Teflon paper for plastic buildup and clean, if necessary.
Check Teflon paper for wear and rotate, if necessary.
Check the Silicone Rubber Clamping Tubes for plastic buildup and clean with rubbing Alcohol, if
necessary. Replace if any rips or tears are visible.
Adjust temperature as necessary to achieve clean, string-free seal.
BELT PATH
Check for plastic jammed in Pulleys and around Fill Opening. Remove, if necessary.
Check Film Feed Belts for plastic buildup. Clean, if necessary.
Film should ride ½" to ¾" above belts, adjust Roll Holder as necessary.
Are the correct number of belt path pulleys installed in the Staged Bag area for the bag size you are
running? You should have the maximum number of pulleys in FULL contact during staged bag.
None beyond the end of the bag, not in FULL contact.
Daily, do a visual check to make sure every pulley moves. Verify none of the pulleys are locked up.
Verify Felt Lubricator is wet to lubricate the bag through the jaws.
