ICW
Smart TV Controllers
2-Way Cat5 Control
The ICW Smart TV Controller takes advantage of Smart TV
technology by Philips, RCA, and Zenith. Using the Smart TV
data port, Smart TV Controllers use the TV's onboard IR sen-
sor, character generator, and controlled channel access to
deliver cost-effective network TV and media management.
The ICW communicates bi-directionally over the wired ICW-
Net network, a high-speed data bus that can operate over
Category 5 or 3 wiring, fiber optic cable, video codecs, or
other long-distance data links.
Compatible with the Contemporary Research ABC Media
Retrieval System and iC Commander software, the ICW
can be networked with up to 4000 TV and Video Display
controllers. For custom systems applications, all Smart TV
Controllers and other CR devices can be accessed from a
single RS-232 port on an ICC-HE or ICW-HE Head-End
Network Controller.
Applications include media distibution and control for
educational television systems, theme parks, museums,
government facilities, arenas, convention centers, airports
and corporate video networks.
