MAINTENANCE / CLEANING
Particular care must be taken with any sharp edges on the rangehood.
When cleaning stainless surfaces, use a damp cloth and mild detergent. Never use products containing
abrasives (e.g. scouring pads, steel wool, abrasive liquid cleaner etc.)
In high humidity and coastal environments, cleaning should be carried out frequently.
Ensure the canopy rangehood is switched off before cleaning.
Wipe the rangehood body and flue with mild detergent or soapy water using a sponge or soft cloth. Do not
use oven cleaners, caustic solutions or abrasive materials.
Ensure the fan and light switches are switched off before removing and replacing filters. To maintain
efficiency and reduce fire risk, the filters should be cleaned monthly. Press the clamp of the filter lightly and
take off the filter. Wash the filter in warm soapy water using a mild detergent and a soft brush. Or place in
top rack of dishwasher. Do not use oven cleaners, caustic solutions or corrosive agents.
Ensure the fan and light switches are set to 'Off' before removing and replacing the light globe.
TO REPLACE A LIGHT BULB
It is recommended replacing light bulb to be carried out by a licensed electrician.
CAUTION! Lamp unit may be hot! Wait until the unit is cool and use the same type of light bulb.
Make sure all switch controls are off and the rangehood is unplugged.
1) Make sure the bulb is cool to touch
2) Use a flathead screwdriver to take out the lamp assembly, then disconnect lamp from the internal wires
3) Loosen the screws and remove the lamp cover to take out the lamp bulb
4) Replace with a new lamp bulb (check specification for which type), put bulb securely into lamp socket.
