knee protectors for work in the kneeling position
Always observe the general instruction on page 11 - 14.
This safety garment is in accordance with the requirements of the
European Technical Standard
DIN EN 14404:2010 knee protectors within system of kneepad
Art. 8400, type 2 (upholster, to be fastened to the trousers legs into
bag on height of knee) are suitable to offer protection against
hardware, lying on floor, as well as prevent chronically disease (e.g.
bursitis or cartilage-defect). Already existing disease cannot be cured
by wearing this knee-protection, but hurtful effects can be limited.
Important premise for the attainment of this aim is the combination of
knee-protection with proper work-wear, equipped with appropriated
kneepad-pockets which are made for this kind of purpose.
These PPE cannot prevent body injury completely. Furthermore,
no protection is offered:

as safety devices in areas where there might be danger of falling
-
from chemical hazards (kneepad is NOT solvent-resistant)
-
from caught-in hazards in presence of moving parts
-
from thermal hazards (kneepad is NOT heat-resistant)
-
from fire crossing and extinguishing hazards
-
from hazards different from the ones specified above

Knee-protection is suitable for a flat surface. It provides
no protection against punctures.
Knee-protection is suitable for a flat or uneven surface. It
provides protection against puncture at a strength of
(100 + 5)N.
Knee-protection is suitable for a use on flat or uneven
surface under rough conditions. It provides protection
against punctures at a strength of (250 + 10) N.
