1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully the contents of this manual: as it contains important safety information regarding the installation, use
and maintenance of the apptiance.
Keep this manual in a safe piace for the eventual use by other operatore.
The installation of this appliance must be carried out by qualified persone in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
Switch off the appliance in the case of failure or irregular running. Have the appliance repaired by a technically
qualified person authorized by the manufacturer and using original spere parte.
If the above is not respected the safety of the appliance could be jeopardized.
2. VARIABILE SPEED CONTROL UNIT ( Fig. 9 )
A - Extraction hood lighting On/Off switch
B - Extraction fan On/Off switch
C - Speed variator
Note:
If both lights are off, Is it necessary to check and control voltage regulator fuse internoal.
If the defect does not disappear you should contact a qualified technician.
3. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• The extraction hood is an appliance whose sole scope is to capture air which is heavy with grease coming from the
underlying cooking appliance. It therefore follows that the extraction hood must be periodically cleaned if it is to
maintain the high standards of hygiene required by modem kitchens.
• Before commencing any clearing or maintenance operations make sure that the power is switched off at the mains.
• Remove the filters from the hood every week , and soak them in hot water mixed with soda or use a detergent spray.
If required use a soft washing scraper. After washing the filters rinse them in hot water, shake them well and leave
them to drip dry. Dry before replacing them in the hood.
Attention !
The build up of fat and grease in side the filter can lead to fire hazards as well as the incorrect functioning of the
extraction hood. It is extremely important that the filters by cleaned carefully and frequently.
• Clean the stainless steel surfaces with warm water and a neutral soap, then rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.
Caution:
Never use corrosive substances (chlorine, bleach, chloric acid etc. even if diluted and never use common wire wool,
spatulas or wire brushes when clearing the stainless steel su rfaces.
• Have the flue duct cleaned at least once a year.
• Have the appliance periodically checked (at least once a year).
To this end we advise you to obtain a maintenance contract.
Periods of long inactivity
If the appliance is not going to be used for long periods the following precautions should be taken.
- disconnect the power supply.
- clean all the stainless steel surfaces
- apply a protective film of Vaseline oil over the stainless steel surfaces.
- Make sure that the premises is aired regularly.
