9) If the baby is sitting too low or you need to tighten the straps, lift the carrier at the

base of the shoulder straps and tighten the slack by redoing the knot.

10) Ensure that the shoulder straps cross below the shoulder blades.

11) Scoop the baby using your palms to create a rounded back seating position

CAUTION:

and the back should be slightly curved. The baby's head should be placed high up on

your chest and always facing to the side where the baby's mouth and nose are free

from obstruction. The baby's forehead should be kissable at any age.

The carrier should be snug but not too tight.

Final carrying position:

The knees should be bent higher than the baby's bottom
