How To Adjust Blade Spacing (Contact):
1) Raise and lock up the drill with the transport lock.
2) Remove the bolt (1) securing the opener disk on
one side.
Note: The bolt on the left side is a left-
handed bolt and the bolt on the right side is a stan-
dard right-hand threaded bolt.
3) Carefully remove the blade (2). Note how many
spacers (3) are outside the flange dust cover (4) and
inside the disk. Do not lose the hub components and
spacers.
4) To reduce the spacing between the disks, move
one spacer from the inside to the outside of the flange
dust cover. To increase the spacing, move one spacer
from the outside to the inside of the flange dust cover.
5) Reassemble and check disk contact.
Knock Down Tine Pitch Adjustment:
To avoid rapid wear, do not allow the knock down bars
or tines to contact the ground during operation.
1) Loosen the nuts (2)
2) Adjust the rear elevation of each knock down
assembly so it is as close as possible to level with the
opener frame.
3) After both sides are adjusted, tighten the nuts to
torque.
Knock Down Bar/Disk Gap Adjustment:
The gap should be about 0.01 inch.
1) Loosen the bolts (1).
2) Adjust the position of the tine (2) so the knock-
down bar (3) almost contacts the opener disk for the
full length of the bar.
3) Tighten the nuts to torque.
4) Rotate the opener disk a full turn or more to make
sure that contact is avoided.
Note: Adjust the scraper on the knock down tine so
that the gap is about 0.01 inch.
