Ademco Lynx System Manual
1. Enter your [security code] and press [AWAY].
2. The keypad will beep twice, or continuously if the exit warning has been programmed for your
system, and will display the armed Away message. The red Armed indicator will light and the system
will announce "armed Away-exit now."
Arming the System with No Delay
Use No Delay with Stay mode when you are staying home and do not expect anyone to use the entrance
door. Use No Delay with Away mode when the premises will be vacant for extended periods of time such
as vacations, etc.
When armed with No Delay, the system will sound an alarm if a protected door or window is opened,
including the entrance door. You may leave through the entrance door during the exit delay period
without causing an alarm, but an alarm will sound as soon as someone reenters.
To arm with No Delay, enter your [security code] and Away or Stay and No Delay.
Disarming
To disarm the system and silence the burglary alarm:
1. Enter [security code] and press the [OFF] button.
2. The Ready light will light (if no alarms have occurred while armed) and the keypad will keep once to
confirm that the system is disarmed.
EXIT/ENTRY DELAY
Your Ademco Lynx provides a delay after entering or exiting your home before the system is alarmed.
Bypassing Protection Zones
Zones (also called partitions) are areas that can be bypassed when arming the system. This could be ideal
for those who want to arm all but one door/window.
Bypassing Protection Zones
Bypassing zones allows you to arm your system with one or more zones intentionally unprotected. The
system must be disarmed before arming. Fire zones cannot be bypassed.
To bypass a zone:
1. Enter your [security code] + [BYPASS] and enter the 2 digit zone number. Important! All single-digit
numbers must be preceded by a zero (for example, enter [02] for zone 2).
2. The keypad will display the word "Bypass" along with each bypassed zone number. Wait for these
