1. Place the dancebox™ in normal operating position (on feet).
2. Ensure the power switch is in the off position.
3. Remove the access panel by unsnapping the four latches holding
it in place; set aside.
4. Remove the internal blower by loosening the connecting bolt (see
graphic on next page) and pulling the blower in the direction of
blower nozzle a few inches. Rotate the blower 90 degrees (so that
the bottom of the blower is pointing toward the access opening)
and pull through opening; set aside.
5. Attach provided clamp to lighting fixture (or if using pre-purchased
equipment, your own clamp).
6. Attach power cable to fixture.
7. If using DMX, connect fixture to the provided internal DMX cable
(if necessary, via an intermediate cable). When installing multiple
fixtures, daisy chain them together using the provided cables (for
standard effects packages), or your own cables (for pre-
purchased equipment).
8. Connect fixture using attached clamp to one of the desired
mounting rods inside the dancebox™.
9. Connect fixture power cable to outlet box inside the unit.
10. Adjust fixture to point greatest amount of luminance through the
top of the unit; tighten and secure.
11. Repeat steps 5-10 for each fixture to be installed.
12. If using DMX, attach an additional cable from the final fixture to
the DMX out cable provided in order to daisy chain multiple
dancebox™ units together or connect to other DMX-enabled
equipment.
13. Reinstall internal blower by reversing the instructions found in
step four.
14. Reattach access panel.
Once everything is installed, it is recommended to organize your power
and DMX cables using zip ties or Velcro. Avoid running power and DMX
cables parallel to each other. This will avoid cross-talk errors that could
cause glitches in your control signals.
