dbx iEQ-15 Quick Overview
How do you work it? A Quick Overview
®
AFS FILTERS CAN BE DEPLOYED IN ONE OF TWO PRIMARY MODES.
All Live (Normal Mode). In this mode, the 12 filters per channel are available to be deployed
as feedback occurs throughout a performance.
Six Live, Six Fixed (Mixed Mode). In this mode, half of the filters can be deployed when set-
ting up and "ringing out" the system. These "fixed" filters will remain in place until cleared.
This leaves the remaining six filters in the "live" mode for the remainder of the performance.
Those live filters will deploy to address feedback as needed for a limited (and selectable)
amount of time.
TO SELECT BETWEEN THOSE MODES:
1. On power up, press and hold channel 1 AFS button until the Channel 1 meters show every
other LED lit. Once the AFS button is released the various modes can be selected.
2. Pressing the Channel 1 AFS button cycles through the 3 menus, indicated by each of the
three LED lights on the Channel 1 output meter.
3. Pressing the Channel 1 AFS button twice will light up the Third LED on the Channel 1 out-
put meter indicating that you are now in the menu where you can select between AFS
Normal (12 Live Filters) and AFS Mixed (6 Fixed Filters & 6 Live Filters).
4. Now press the Channel 2 AFS to select either the Normal or Mixed mode by toggling the
LED on the Channel 2 output meter.
5. Pressing and holding the Channel 1 AFS button will allow you to exit the power up menus;
or, proceed to instruction #4 in "Filter Lift" selections on the following page.
