WARNINGS
Do not adjust or operate Wheelchair without carefully reading
and understanding all instructions in this manual.
• Be sure that attendants are fully knowledgeable regarding proper
assisting procedures. Consult your physician, nurse, or physical
therapist to determine the safest and most effective method of
operation for your individual needs.
• This Wheelchair should not be used as a seat in any type of
motor vehicle.
• Do not operate this wheelchair on any roadway or street or on
any surface with vehicular traffic.
• Do not operate on inclines without proper assistance.
• When getting in and out of wheelchair or when in elevator or
wheelchair lift, wheel locks must be fully engaged.
• Wheelchair should be on a smooth, stable and level area with
wheel locks engaged before transferring user in or out of
wheelchair.
USING WHEEL LOCKS
The wheel locks should be engaged against both rear wheels
before sitting down or getting up from the chair.
STABILITY
DO NOT move forward on the seat while leaning forward out of the
chair. If absolutely necessary, make sure the casters are in the
forward position. This creates a longer wheelbase and gives the
wheelchair more stability. Never reach further forward than the
length of your arm, as this can cause tipping.
SAFE TRANSFER
It is recommended that you work with a qualified healthcare
professional before attempting to transfer on your own. Ensure that
the wheelchair is on a smooth, stable, and level surface with wheel
locks engaged before transferring. Position the wheelchair as close
as possible to the seat you are transferring to. Rotate the front
casters until they face fully forward. Ensure that armrests are out of
the way and remove or swing footrests out of the way if possible.
Do not stand on or apply weight to the footrest when getting up, as
this can cause tipping.
RAMPS AND SLOPES
Be certain of your physical capabilities and limitations before
attempting to propel the wheelchair up a ramp. It is recommended
that you consult with a qualified professional to learn the proper
techniques for ramp negotiation before attempting to do so on
your own.
Do not use the chair on an incline steeper than 10% without
assistance. Never turn or change direction on a slope and always
stay in the middle of the ramp. If it is necessary to stop while on a
slope, avoid abrupt or sudden movements when you resume moving.
Never use the rear wheel locks as breaks to slow or stop your chair,
as this could cause the wheelchair to veer or tip to one side.
INSTRUCTIONS
Folding and Unfolding Wheelchair
To fold the wheelchair, tilt the wheelchair and lift the front of the
seat rail up. To unfold/open the wheelchair, tilt the wheelchair and
push the seat rail down. Be sure your hands are on top of the
wheelchair seat, not in between the seat rail and chair frame.
Installing the Back Rest Assembly
Unfold the wheelchair (as described above). Insert the back
upholstery tubes into the sockets on either side of the wheelchair.
Locate the height adjustment holes on the vertical tube of the lower
frame. Align the upholstery tubes with the height adjustment holes
at the desired height. On each side of the wheelchair, insert a bolt
from the side through the mounting towards the wheelchair and
secure it with a turning knob.
Installing Leg Rests
With the footplate pointing to the side of the wheelchair, align the
two mounting holes on the leg rest with the two pins on the
wheelchair frame and insert. Swing the leg rest towards the
