Commissioning
- Connect the HIKOB gateway to a PoE injector via an Ethernet cable.
- The HIKOB gateway is configured to obtain a dynamic IP address using DHCP.
But there is a specific IP configuration to access the HIKOB GATEWAY:
PC Configuration:
IP Address: 172.16.48.249
Subnet mask 255.255.255.248
The HIKOB GATEWAY can be accessed at: https://172.16.48.251
WARNING : to be able to reach the HIKOB GATEWAY this IP configuration must be
into a point to point connection (no router, no IP switch between the HIKOB
GATEWAY and the PC).
- Sensors and routers are autonomous, no action is required for their commissioning
3 Setting up the sensor network
Once the HIKOB gateway is switched on, the sensors will automatically connect to it. This
step can take up to 1 ½ hours because to save their battery, the sensors periodically scan
the radio space when not yet connected.
The reconnection to the HIKOB network can be accelerated by using a magnet to wake-up
the WISECOW sensors.
