To clean the brush roller: If the brush roller is blocked, you can easily take the roller out and

clean it.

Press the release button to "unlock" then remove the lock pin.

As for charging the unit: if you have not used the unit for a time, fully charge it.

It is advisable to charge the battery once a month.
