Troubleshooting
Symptom
Tap will not
operate when
control knob is
fully pushed in.
Tap will not
shut off.
Tap does not
run for long
enough.

Cause
Isolation valves closed.
User is holding in control knob.
Head of water is below the
minimum required.
Airlock or blockage in water
supply pipework.
Instantaneous water heater (if
being used) cycles on and off as
fl ow rate or water pressure is
too low.
Cartridge assembly faulty or
requires servicing / cleaning.
Isolation valves partially closed.
Insuffi cient water pressure
Tap cartridge assembly faulty or
requires servicing / cleaning.
Flow regulator blocked.
Remedy
Open Isolation valves.
Release control knob.
The water will not fl ow if the
control knob is held in by the
user.
Refer to 'Specifi cation' section
on page 4.
Flush through the water supply
pipework to ensure removal of
any debris or airlocks.
Increase water fl ow rate or
water pressure through system
to meet required minimum
working pressure of tap.
Remove cartridge assembly and
clean / replace.
Refer to 'Maintenance' section
on pages 10-11 before
dismantling the tap.
Open isolation valves fully.
Check water supply pressure.
Refer to 'Specifi cations' section
on page 4.
Remove tap cartridge
assembly and clean / replace.
Refer to 'Maintenance' section
on pages 10-11 before
dismantling the shower valve.
Remove fl ow regulator and
clean.
Unscrew fl ow regulator housing
from spout, remove fl ow
regulator clean and replace.
