Example 2: 45 cameras in the system, using addresses 1 to 45

Cameras 1 to 31 are connected to the first converter, 32 to 45 are connected to a

second unit.

First converter:

Selector 1 to position 0, selector 2 to position 1 (= address 1)

Selector 3 to position 1, selector 4 to position F (= address 31)

Second converter:

Selector 1 to position 2, selector 2 to position 0 (= address 32)

Selector 3 to position 2, selector 4 to position D (= address 45)

Switching on and off

Connecting to electrical power

Make sure that you have made all the other connections of your unit, before hooking up

the power supply as the last step.

Note that the protocol converter does not have a power on/off switch. Simply connect

the power supply to the protocol converter, and then plug it into the wall mains (power

socket). A red LED will light up on the front panel, indicating that the unit is ready for ope-

ration.

The CEC C328 video multiplexer has a large number of special features and different

modes. Once you have installed and set up your system, check all system components

to ensure that they are operating correctly.

As a minimum, you should make the following checks:

Selection of every camera connected to the system

Correct operation of functions controlled through the video multiplexer

Correct execution of programmed functions (e.g. pre-programmed camera positions)

Correct execution of automatic functions (e.g. auto-pan)
