6. TROUBLESHOOTING

DANGER! Risk of physical injury!
Injury when the product starts accidentally.
v Disconnect the product from the mains before
you troubleshoot the product.
To clean the suction base and the impeller [ Fig. T1 ]:
1. Only for Art. 9044: Unscrew the 5 Phillips screws

Possible Cause
Low water level and filled hose with
built-in non return valve.
Air cannot escape, because the
pressure line is closed. (Possible
kink in the pressure hose.)
Air in suction foot.
Suction opening is clogged.

Time is exceeded.

Thermal switch has turned the pump

5. Clean the seal

6. Reassemble the suction base
A damaged seal must be replaced.
For safety reasons a damaged impeller can only be
exchanged by the GARDENA Service Centre.
If the sensor detects an error, it will indicate this via
a light signal. First, all LEDs will flash, followed by a single,
flashing LED. This pattern will then alternate. The single,
flashing LED will indicate the relevant error.
The action(s) required to resolve the error can then be
found in the table below.
The error must be fully resolved before the pump is
subsequently disconnected from the mains electricity.

Remedy
v Remove the check valve or empty
the hose manually
v Open the pressure line
(e. g. shut-off valve, delivery units).
v Wait for about 60 seconds until
the pump has vented; if necessary,
turn off and then on again.
v Clean the suction opening with
a water jet.
v Remove the clog from the hose.
v Submerge the pump deeper.
v Clean the sensor.
v Place the pump in water within the
countdown.
v Clean the impeller.
v Clean the suction opening. Observe
the max. media temperature (35 °C).
v Check fuses and electrical plug
connections.
v Disconnect the pump and contact
the GARDENA Service.
v Clean the suction opening with
a water jet.
v Remove the clog from the hose.
v Select the next higher switch-on
point and insert the non return valve.
v Wait for the break. Select the next
higher switch-on point and insert the
non return valve.
