Next, thread the end of the rope through the silent pulley from above and then slide the end through the T-Bar rope
adjuster, under the carriage, you will need to pull down the locking handle to allow the rope (Fig.23).
3. Setting up the rope length
a. First, put the spring bar as close to the footbar as possible and attach at least one spring.
b. Now put the T-Bar in the position where the most of the chrome bar is revealed (this is the position where
theropes are longest - see adjusting the rope length in the User Guide, page 8) and put the handles over
theshoulder rest as shown. (Fig.24).
c. Next, pull the ropes through from underneath until they are both tight. When done tie a knot about six inches-
from the end of the rope (Fig.25) - the rope ends can be tidied away by wrapping them around the T bar.
4. Adjusting the side wheels
To ensure the reformer runs smoothly and in a straight line, it is possible to adjust
the side wheels. When the carriage is in place with all springs attached, the
side wheels should be around 1-2mm from the touching the side of the frame.
To adjust the side wheels:
a. Adjustment is best done from under the bed. All 4 side wheels can be
adjusted in and out.
b. Simply loosen the allen bolt and move the wheel in or out. When correctly
positioned the wheels should only touch when the carriage is deflected off
a straight line, however the carriage should not be able to be moved too
much from side to side. Note: a sign the side wheel is in the wrong place is
if the side wheel causes squeaking - squeaking is usually a sign the wheel needs moving in.
5. Attaching and adjusting the footstrap
a. The footstrap attaches the same way the ropes attach to the handles. First separate the footstrap in to 2 parts
b. Take each part of the footstrap and thread the loop through the eyelet beneath the spring bar, then thread the
strap through the loop (Fig.27/28/29).
c. When both sides are attached thread the end of the strap though the D rings (Fig.30).
d. The strap can be shortened by pulling on the end of the strap, to loosen release the pressure by opening the
Drings and then lengthening the strap.
