Naming Conventions

Product names

Oracle Solaris might be described as Solaris, Solaris Operating System, or Solaris OS.

Other names

•

"iSCSI port" or "Channel Adapter" (CA) refers to the iSCSI interface module used in the

ETERNUS Disk storage systems to connect to the server.

•

"LAN card" refers to the iSCSI interface module normally used in the server. A "Network

Interface Card" (NIC), "LAN adapter", or "LAN board" may be used instead, depending on the

server.
