DESIRED temperature means:
The temperature that is required in the freezer compartment, this can
be adjusted to the temperatures shown in the display. The DESIRED
temperature is indicated by flashing numbers.
ACTUAL temperature means:
The temperature display indicates the temperature that is currently
present in the freezer compartment. The ACTUAL temperature is indica-
ted with illuminated numbers.

Temperature Display

• During normal operation, the temperature currently present in the
freezer compartment (ACTUAL temperature) is displayed.
• When the temperature is being adjusted a flashing display indicates
the temperature currently set(DESIRED temperature).
• If frozen food has been partially or completely thawed (e.g., during a
temporary power failure) the temperature display will show the
warmest temperature the frozen food has reached once the power
supply has been reinstated, after the WARNING OFF button is acti-
vated.
• If a malfunction should occur at the appliance, the temperature dis-
play will show a square.

FROSTMATIC Button

1. The FROSTMATIC function is switched on by pressing the FROSTMATIC
button. The yellow light illuminates.
2. The FROSTMATIC function can be ended manually at any time by press-
ing the FROSTMATIC button again. The yellow light goes out.
If the FROSTMATIC function is not ended manually, the appliance elec-
tronics switch off the FROSTMATIC function automatically (depending
on the quantity to be frozen after 30 to maximum 51 hours). The yel-
low light goes out.
The temperature display can indicate several pieces of
information.
The FROSTMATIC function accelerates the freezing of
fresh food and, at the same time, protects foodstuffs
already stored from undesirable warming.
