1. Plug the mains plug into the mains socket.
2. Turn the thermostat control knob to the desired setting with the aid of
a coin.
The compressor starts and then runs automatically. The green light, the
yellow light and the red light come on, the audible warning sounds (if
fitted), and the refrigeration motor starts up.
3. Additionally operate the fast-freeze switch. The audible warning
switches off, and the freezer motor runs continuously.
4. Only when the red light has gone out should you reset the fast-freeze
switch (2): the yellow light goes out and the audible warning mode is
activated again.
Important! Wait until the freezer compartment has reached a temper-
ature of -18°C, or the red warning light has gone out, before storing
frozen food.
Important: Regularly check on the red temperature pilot light (5) and
the thermometer that the required storage temperature is being main-
tained.
Important note: if you operate the fast freeze
temperature control knob, your appliance's refrigeration motor may
not start immediately, but does after some time. This does not mean
that your appliance has a fault.

Switching off the appliance

1. To switch off the appliance, turn the temperature regulator to position

If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period:
1. Remove all deep-frozen packages as well as ice-trays.
2. Switch off the appliance by turning the temperature regulator to posi-
tion "0".
3. Remove the mains plug or switch off or disconnect from the electricity
supply.
4. Defrost freezer and clean thoroughly (see sections: "Defrosting" and
"Cleaning and Care").
5. Leave the door open to avoid the build up of odours.
