EPLACING THE
ISCHARGE
There are two Discharge Brushes in the ADF area of the scanner. These
brushes remove paper dust and other contaminents from the Pick Roller
Unit and the Brake Roller. Replacing these brushes and keeping them in
good condition will increase the life of both the Pick roller Unit and Brake
Roller. Each consumable kit contains one brush. Please inspect the
brushes and replace the one that is in the worst condition.

Lift the Lever at the right to
open the Upper Transport
Unit.

•
Remove the Pick Roller Unit
from the scanner.
•
Loosen the two thumb
screws and lower the
Discharge Brush to remove.
•
Align the notches in the new
Discharge Brush with the two
thumb screws and push up
against the screws. Tighten
the thumb screws to secure
the brush.
•
Reinstall the Pick Roller Unit.
