8. TROUBLESHOOTING

8.1 What to do if...
Problem
The appliance does not operate.
The appliance is noisy.
Acoustic or visual alarm is on.
The compressor operates continual‐
ly.
The compressor does not start im‐
mediately after pressing the "Frost‐
matic", or after changing the temper‐
ature.
Door is misaligned or interferes with
ventilation grill.
Door does not open easily.
There is too much frost and ice.
Possible cause
The appliance is switched off.
The mains plug is not connected to
the mains socket correctly.
There is no voltage in the mains
socket.
The appliance is not supported
properly.
The cabinet has been recently
switched on.
The temperature in the appliance is
too high.
The door is left open.
Temperature is set incorrectly.
Many food products were put in at
the same time.
The room temperature is too high.
Food products placed in the appli‐
ance were too warm.
The door is not closed correctly.
The Frostmatic function is switched
on.
The compressor starts after a period
of time.
The appliance is not levelled.
You attempted to re-open the door
immediately after closing.
The door is not closed correctly.
The gasket is deformed or dirty.
Solution
Switch on the appliance.
Connect the mains plug to the
mains socket correctly.
Connect a different electrical appli‐
ance to the mains socket. Contact a
qualified electrician.
Check if the appliance stands sta‐
ble.

Close the door.

Wait a few hours and then check the
temperature again.
