DEZEGA
The escape hood can only be doffed after exiting the area of the
accident or fire, in the atmosphere suitable for breathing. To remove
the escape hood, stretch the obturator of the hood with both hands
and remove the hood.
FORBIDDEN!
•
TO USE AN ESCAPE HOOD WITH BROKEN SEAL OR BREACHED INTEGRITY OF A VACUUM PACKAGE;
•
TO REMOVE AND PUT THE HOOD BACK ON DURING ESCAPE FROM THE DANGEROUS AREA OR
WAITING FOR HELP;
•
TO RE-USE THE ESCAPE HOOD;
•
TO USE AN ESCAPE HOOD FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN INTENDED;
•
TO USE AN ESCAPE HOOD AFTER THE END OF SERVICE LIFE.
The escape hood should not be operated at an ambient temperature of
less than minus 5 °C (23 °F) and more than plus 60 °C (140 °F).
The escape hood should not be used by people younger than 12 years
old or having a neck circumference of less than 30 cm.
Possible malfunctions during donning and use of the escape hood,
and the ways to eliminate them:
Name of malfunctions,
their manifestation and
additional indicators
Lack of air for inhalation
Viewing window not at eye
level
TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE
No special maintenance is required for storage and operation of
escape hoods.
Maintenance of escape hoods includes periodic visual check of the
sealing safety, the presence of the pictograms, the absence of damage
to the box (bag).

Troubleshooting method
Pull the half-mask from the face, inhale,
press the half-mask to the face and exhale
into the escape hood
Adjust the hood so that the field of view is
maximum
