DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURES

NOTE:

Before performing any disassembly, refer

to the exploded parts drawing, which references all

mandatory replacement parts. These parts should

be replaced with new, and must not be reused

under any circumstances – regardless of the age

of the regulator or how much use it has received

since it was last serviced.

CAUTION:

Use only a plastic or brass o-ring

removal tool (p/n 944022) when removing o-rings

to prevent damage to the sealing surface. Even

a small scratch across an o-ring sealing surface

could result in leakage. Once an o-ring sealing

surface has been damaged, the part must be

replaced with new. DO NOT use a dental pick,

or any other steel instrument.

1. While holding the inlet ﬁ tting (19) of the second stage

secure with a ¾" (19mm) open end wrench, apply 11/16"

(17mm) open-end wrench to the female ﬁ tting of the LP hose.

Turn the ﬁ tting counter-clockwise to remove the hose from the

second stage. Remove the o-rings from the hose and discard.

2. Slide back the hose protectors and check that the crimps

look good and that the hose is not pulling out. If the hose is

torn or pulling out of the crimps, it should be replaced.

3a. To remove the corrugated hoses from the box you will

need to carefully cut the panduit clamps from the hoses.

3b. If the corrugated hoses are attached by clamping bands,

use a small blade screwdriver and loosen the bands.

4. Remove the corrugated hoses from the box.

5. Using a 3mm Allen wrench, remove the 4 screws (1) and

recover the 4 locknuts (7) at the back of the inhalation

box (6)

6. Remove the exhalation box (2).

7 Lift up the exhaust valve (3) and check that the surface is

clean and unscratched. It should be ﬂ exible and have a clean

edge. If it is in good condition it is not necessary to replace it.

If there are any signs of deterioration it should be replaced.
