Fender FORTIS F-10BT Owner's Manual
Fender Fortis F-10BT Powered Loudspeaker
Fender's Fortis F-10BT is an active two-way sound reinforcement
loudspeaker designed to deliver excellent fidelity, features, durability,
and ease of setup and use. Powerful and versatile, it offers a bi-
amplified design, two input channels compatible with multiple signal
sources—including high-quality Bluetooth audio streaming, special
analog audio routing for true stereo pass-through when using two
enclosures, and application-specific EQ switching. Along with user-
friendly rear-panel controls and a comfortably lightweight enclosure,
Fortis F-10BT also offers:
10" low-frequency speaker
1" titanium horn-loaded high-frequency compression driver
Dedicated high- and low-frequency power amplification with
active crossover
Universal power for 100V to 240V operation
A.
CHANNEL 1: Balanced line/mic input with combination XLR/
TRS input connector, volume control and "Line/Mic" pushbutton
switch.
B.
CHANNEL 2: Stereo Bluetooth and auxiliary input with volume
control, Bluetooth pairing button and blue status LED, and
3.5mm auxiliary input (interrupts Bluetooth signal when in use).
C.
LOOP AND EXTENSION OUTPUTS: Balanced extension output
(right) with XLR-3M male connector sends signal to opposite
side of stage for stereo sound. Balanced loop output (left) with
XLR-3M male connector duplicates internal mixer output and
sends signal to additional Fortis speakers or subwoofers on same
side of stage. In "Mono" (up) position, "Mono/Stereo" pushbut-
ton switch mixes left and right inputs and provides mono mix to
line output; in "Stereo" (down) position, it routes left channel to
internal amplifier and right channel to line output. Note that Bal-
anced Extension Output (right) follows operation of "Mono/Stereo"
pushbutton switch.
D.
LIMIT LED: Activity indicator for driver/amplifier protection
limiter. Illuminates intermittently when system nears maximum
level; illuminates continuously when in system-protection mode.
E.
FRONT LED SWITCH: Three-position switch configures bi-color
LED on the front of the enclosure to indicate power only ("power"

position), power and limiting ("limit" position) or complete deac-
tivation ("off" position).

EQ SWITCH: Three-position switch provides specific EQ profiles,
including mild high-frequency boost for increased sparkle and
chime ("High" position), slight midrange boost for greater voice
clarity ("Mid" position) and flattest speaker response ("Flat" posi-
tion).
G.
LF SWITCH: Three-position EQ switch provides specific low-end
tone shaping. Includes low-frequency boost ideal, for example, for
DJs who want to provide increased bass ("Boost" position); flattest
speaker response ("Flat" position); and built-in high-pass filter that
removes low frequencies such that an external subwoofer can be
added to the system to achieve greater volume with overall bal-
anced response, and also compensate for naturally occuring bass
boost when enclosure is placed on its side and "coupled" to the
floor ("Sub/Mon" position).
H. POWER CORD: Connect to a grounded outlet in accordance with
the voltage and frequency specifications.
