AVS AVS S4 Owner's Manual
Thank you for choosing an AVS S-Series car
security system. This range of car alarms and
immobilisers has been designed to provide a
superior level of security for you and your vehicle.
Please read this guide carefully and keep it in a
safe place for future reference.

REMOTE CONTROLS

Two remote controls are supplied and are used to control the system
functions. The remotes have rolling codes (4 billion) to foil code-
grabbing devices.

A. Press button for 3-seconds for BOOT RELEASE
B. Press button for 3-seconds to stop engine if turbo
timer installed

A. Activates PANIC/car finder (AVS S5/S4)

REMOTE BATTERIES

Each remote is fitted with x 2 CR2025 long life Lithium batteries.
Replacement batteries are available from electrical retailers or
AVS dealers.
REPLACE THE REMOTE BATTERIES IF:
1.
The remote range begins to decrease.
2.
The remote's LED flashes when a button is pushed
NOTE: Like any electrical device the remotes contain
sensitive components that are easily damaged or broken,
especially if dropped or exposed to water. They are expensive
to replace so please take care of them.
Arming
1.
Press button 1 (the large bottom button).
2.
The indicators will flash once and the AVS S5/S4 siren
will chirp once.
3.
The doors will lock (if optional central locking installed).
4.
The LED light on the dash will light solid for 40 seconds.
5.
The LED light will then start flashing. The system is now armed.
