Removing the Cable Management Arm

To remove the cable management arm on the back of the system, perform these
steps:
1.
Disconnect the power cable from the power distribution unit inside the rack or
from the AC power receptacle providing power to the system you are removing.
2.
Disconnect the input/output (I/O) and power cables from the back of the system.
Identify the cables fastened to the cable management arm, and release the
Velcro strips securing the cables to the cable management arm.
3.
From the back of the rack, remove the three 10-32 x 0.25-inch Phillips-head
screws securing the cable management arm to the cable tray on the back of the
system (see Figure 1-5).
4.
Slide the system partially out of the rack and verify that the cable management
arm and all of the cables are removed.
5.
Disconnect the right-angle bracket of the cable management arm from the
vertical rail on the back of the rack (see Figure 1-5).
Fold the cable management arm and place the arm, together with all attaching
hardware, in a container for future use.
