Spanning Tree is a global configuration setting for the PowerConnect M8024k.
Spanning Tree is enabled by default on the PowerConnect M8024k.
Rapid Spanning Tree (rstp) is the default mode for spanning tree for the PowerConnect M8024k.
If the state of the spanning-tree settings is unknown, use the following commands to enable spanning
tree:

console(config)#spanning-tree
console(config)#exit
console# copy running-config startup-config
console#exit
