Preparing for Scality software installation

To prepare for Scality software installation, configure the network interfaces.

To configure network interfaces, verify the network interface configuration.

All components in the ring (Physical Servers, Connectors, and Supervisors) are required to have network

connectivity. The network requirements depend on your specific implementation but the following

credentials must be met:

•

All Physical Servers must communicate with each other.

•

All Connectors must communicate with all Physical Servers.

•

The Supervisor must communicate with the Physical Servers and the Connectors.

NOTE: If you cannot establish a connection between the Supervisor and the Storage servers or

Connectors, ensure that the firewall is configured correctly. For more information, see the Scality
