Problem solving guide

The door will not open

^ Press against the door handle and at the
same time switch the machine off and then
on again. Then try to open the door again.
If you still cannot open the door:
The door handle safety mechanism has
disingaged itself. The door handle cannot be
opened or closed.
The safety mechanism is designed to
protect the handle and the lock from
damage, for instance, if too much force is
being used in an attempt to open the
door.
^ Press firmly against the door handle until
you clearly hear the safety mechanism
engage.
You will now be able to open and close the
door again (as long as there is no water in
the machine).

To remove the laundry the drain valve will
need to be opened manually and the drum

^ Open the drain valve by partially opening
the venting screw (spanner size 17 mm) at
the rear of the machine. Do not unscrew it
completely. Drain off the suds. Take care
as some water will seep out of the screw
opening (approx. 100 mm). This should be
collected in a suitable container.
