Electrical appliances should only be repaired by qualified personnel. Incor-
rectly repaired machines may pose a considerable risk to the user.
What to do if . . .
. . . the tumble dryer fails to
start when switched on?
. . . there is a build-up of
fluff?
. . . items made of synthetic
fibres are charged with
static electricity after drying?
. . . the laundry is not suffi-
ciently dry?
. . . the "anti-crease" indica-
tor light starts flashing?

Cause . . .
Check whether the "ON"
sequence indicator lamp lights
up. If so, failure to start may
be due to an incorrect
selection procedure sequence
when switching on the
machine.
If the "On" sequence indicator
light still does not come on?
Check if
Fluff is principally the result of
friction when items are worn
and washed.
The load consists of dissimilar
items in terms of size and
fabric.
There may be a fault in the
machine.
Problem solving guide
Remedy . . .
Repeat the switch-on
procedure in the correct
sequence. (see chapter on
"Drying correctly")
– the "On/Off" button
was depressed.
– the door is properly closed.
– the mains plug is plugged in.
– the fuse or circuit breaker has
tripped
If this is the case, contact
your Miele Service Dept.
Machine-drying hardly causes
any fluff to form and, as has
been established by research
institutes, has no effect on the
lifetime of fabrics.
Static charge can be reduced
by adding fabric conditioner
during the final rinse cycle in
the washing machine, or a
fabric conditioner sheet in the
tumble dryer.
Select a longer drying
programme next time.-
(see "Consumption data").
– Switch the machine off and
then on again.
– Press "Start".
If the indicator light starts
flashing again, this indicates a
fault in the machine. Contact
the Miele Service Department.
