Using for the first time
Carrying out burning in
During the burning in process, the
griddle plate acquires a kind of anti-
stick coating that prevents food from
sticking. The griddle plate turns a
noticeably darker colour.
Remove excess oil with a piece of
kitchen roll.
Push the rotary control in and turn it
anti-clockwise to the large flame
symbol .
Heat the griddle plate for 1 hour.
Smoke may develop while the griddle
plate is heating up. This is normal.
Switch off the griddle plate.
When the griddle plate has cooled
down sufficiently that it can be
touched, remove excess oil with a
piece of kitchen roll.
Repeat the process twice more when
the griddle plate has cooled down
completely.
