7-4. Troubleshooting

Trouble
No weld output; unit completely inop-
erative.
No weld output; meter display On.
Erratic or improper weld output.
No 24 volts AC output at Remote 14
receptacle.
Place line disconnect switch in On position (see Sections 5-6 and 5-7).
Check and replace line fuse(s), if necessary, or reset circuit breaker (see Section 5-6 and 5-7).
Check for proper input power connections (see Section 5-6 and 5-7).
If using remote control, be sure mode switch is in a position that provides output control at Remote 14
receptacle (see Section 6-3).
Input voltage outside acceptable range of variation (see Section 5-5).
Check, repair, or replace remote control.
Unit overheated. Allow unit to cool with fan On (see Section 4-5).
If unit contains optional ground current sensor, excessive current in the ground circuit may have been
detected. Have electrician check input power circuit.
Use proper size and type of weld cable (see Section 5-2).
Clean and tighten all weld connections.
Reset supplementary protector CB2 (Located on rear panel on upper right hand side).
