Be sure to remove this product if it is not in use.
Power switch
• This product does not have a power switch. The
power will be turned on when the power plug is
inserted to an outlet. When cleaning this product,
unplug first. When the power is turned on, the cam-
era will automatically pan/tilt/adjust focus as the
startup operation.
• A grounding connection must be made before con-
necting the power plug to the main power sup-
ply.When disconnecting the grounding wire, make
sure that the power plug of this product is discon-
nected from the main power supply.
Cautions for installation
• This product is designed to be used as a pendant
mount camera. Do not install this product on desk-
top. It may cause a malfunction.
• This product should be installed with making the
camera level. (The dome part should be down-
ward.)
• Be sure to remove this product if it is not in use.
Avoid installing in the following locations.
• Locations where it may get wet from rain or water
splash (not only indoor)
• Locations where a chemical agent is used such as
a swimming pool
• Locations subject to steam and oil smoke such as
a kitchen
• Locations near flammable gas or vapor
• Locations where radiation or x-ray emissions are
produced
• Locations where corrosive gas is produced
• Locations where it may be damaged by briny air
such as seashores
• Locations where the temperature is not between
–10 °C - +50 °C {14 °F - 122 °F}
• Locations subject to vibrations (This product is not
designed for on-vehicle use.)
• Locations subject to condensation as the result of
severe changes in temperature (The dome cover
may be fogged or condensation may be formed.)
Cable connections (power cable, monitor out cable,
Ethernet cable, alarm in/out cables, audio in/out
cables)
The cables of this product can be wired through a hole
that shall be made in a ceiling or through the wiring
hole of the decorative cover (The tab of the decorative
cover is to be removed.)
• When wiring through a hole in a ceiling, make a
hole in the ceiling to pass the cables through.

• When wiring through the wiring hole of the decora-
tive cover, fabricate the die-cast case and the dec-
orative cover.( Step 3 on page 16)

When the exogenous noise can affect the product
performance
When wiring, make sure that the cables of this product
are at least 1 meter away from power cables of 100 V or
more such as a cable of electric light, or install cable
plumbing system with metal pipes to separate cables to
prevent noise affect. (Metal pipes should be grounded.)
Heat dissipation
Heat is dissipated from the surface of the enclosure of
this product. When the installing place is a place where
heat stays, such in a location where is surrounded by
walls, make ventilation holes for heat dissipation.
Ventilation hole
Install this product when humidity is low
When installing this product while humidity is high,
inside of the dome cover may be fogged. When it hap-
pened, detach the dome cover when humidity is low
and attach it after drying out inside the dome cover.

About SD memory card
• Before inserting a SD memory card into the SD
memory card slot, turn the power of this product
off. Otherwise, it may cause malfunction or damage
data recorded on the SD memory card. Refer to
page 6 for descriptions of how to insert/remove a
SD memory card.
• When using unformatted SD memory card, format it
using this product. Recorded data on the SD mem-
ory card will be deleted when formatted. If using an
unformatted SD memory card or using a SD memo-
ry card formatted with other device, this product
may not work properly or performance deterioration
may be caused. Refer to the setup instructions
(PDF) for how to format a SD memory card.
