3 Installation

This chapter explains how to install the Provider and other required software. When you install the

Provider, the extended storage management features of VDS are enabled.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The right combination of software versions is crucial to conﬁguring a working

system. Refer to the README ﬁles accompanying the HP Provider installation ﬁles for information about

compatible software versions and system conﬁgurations.
