HP StorageWorks 8/24 - SAN Switch Release Note
With FC fastwrite zones (connecting local hosts to remote devices) and
non-FC fastwrite zones (connecting local hosts to local devices) going
to the same devices, not all host ports receive RSCNs after device logon
and link down.
When first upgrading a newly-installed Fabric OS 6.0.x Director to
Fabric OS 6.1.x, there is a very small window of time in which 8-Gb
blades may fault.
With Fabric OS 6.1.x, an undefined bit is sometimes set in the RSCN
payload that causes spurious fabric logout and login issues for HBA
Fibre Channel drivers.
Fabric OS 6.1.0h fixes
Table 14
lists defects closed in the Fabric OS 6.1.0h firmware release.
Table 14 Fabric OS 6.1.0h closed defects
VI to PT routes are deleted following portdisable/enable on FC4-48
blade. This leads to VI not being able to login to Target following
creation of FR zone and portdisable/enable for the host port.
Switch may experience timeouts and traffic interruption during HCL
operation of neighboring switch with FOSv6.2.
Observed kernel panic on a HP StorageWorks DC SAN Director in
RTE module.
Fabric Watch failed to initialize on fully populated HP StorageWorks
DC SAN Director.
License database can be corrupted after configdonwload and can
not be added back. 4G platform can disable QoS but cannot enable
QoS without license.
Customer may experience high CPU load and unexpected blade errors
due to issue responding to ASIC generated interrupts.
Some OS/HBA combinations take down FC link when N_port gener-
ated RSCNs are delivered by switch with 0x08 (FOS 6.1.1b & 6.1.0g)
or 0x20 (6.1.0x) as event qualifier. Fix reverts back to FOS v6.0 value
of 0x00.
