XGA/SVGA Portable LCD Projectors
The serial connector on the projector conforms to the RS-232C interface specification, which allows the projector to be
controlled with a personal computer via the connector.

Basic format
Each packet which is sent from the computer starts with
STX. Following this is the command itself and the
parameters for that command (if any), and the packet then
ends with ETX. Add parameters when necessary according
to the control contents.

NOTE: Use a proper communication cable which is suitable for the personal computer to connect the serial
connector and the personal computer.

NOTE:
• If sending multiple commands, check that a response has been
received from the projector for one command before sending the
next command.
• When a command which does not require parameters is sent, the
colon ":" is not required.
• If an incorrect command is sent from the personal computer, the
"ER401" command will be sent from the projector to the personal
ETX
computer.
• If you are using the REMOTE connector to control the projector
externally, commands sent to the SERIAL connector will no longer
be accepted.
Remarks
In standby mode, all commands other than the PON
command are ignored.
• The PON command is ignored during lamp ON control.
• If a PON command is received while the cooling fan is operating
after the lamps have switched off, the lamps are not turned back
on again until approximately 40 seconds have passed since they
turned off, in order to protect the lamps.
000 = min., 063 = max.
0 = MUTE OFF, 1 = MUTE ON
• If the picture mute function is on, this command can be used to
toggle the video mute on and off.
VID = VIDEO, SVD = S-VIDEO, RG1 = RGB1, RG2 = RGB2
0 = Standby, 1 = Lamp ON control active, 2 = Lamp ON,
3 = Lamp OFF control active
0 = Both lamps 1 and 2 are OFF, 1 = Only lamp 1 is ON,
2 = Only lamp 2 is ON, 3 = Both lamps 1 and 2 are ON
