8. Use a clean cloth to
remove the UV light by
gently pulling up on the
UV bulb. (see figure 7)
9. Do not touch the bulb
with your fingers.
10. Carefully remove the
black protector on the
end of the bulb. Install
the black protector on
the end of the new UV
light bulb. (see figure 8)
11. Carefully install the new
UV bulb in the base, be sure to use a clean cloth to install
the new bulb. Press the bulb firmly into the base until you
here a click. (see figure 7)
12. Carefully slide the new bulb into the sleeve and screw the
cap into place.
13. Reattach the cord retainer clip with the two screws.
14. If you have an ECF25U or an ECF40U set the UV cover
back on top of the pressure filter and tighten the three
screws.
15. If you have an ECF10U make sure to line up the power
cord in the back with the slot in the UV cover. Be sure to
line up the two slots in the front of the UV cover with the
two prongs behind the discharge connection. Push down
on the UV cover and line up the arrow on the UV cover with
the arrow on the retaining ring. (see figure 9)
16. Twist the UV housing back to desired position and tighten
the screws down on the retaining ring.
UV Sleeve Replacement and Cleaning
1. Make sure the unit is disconnected from the power source.
2. Unscrew the barbed fittings from the inlet and outlet on the
filter.
3. Loosen the screws on the top retaining ring. Remove the
screws. The retaining ring should now be loose. (see figure
1)
4. Remove the UV cover and set aside. (see figure 3)
5. Remove the two screws and the plastic retainer clip that
hold the cord in place and set aside. (see figure 5)
6. Unscrew the UV light and carefully remove from the hous-
ing. (see figure 10)
7. Carefully set the UV bulb aside, being careful not to touch
the UV bulb.
