AE Sensor
The newly-developed 49 area exposure sensor
provides extra precision and reliability during
exposure metering and flash control. This is of
particular benefit for compositions made under
difficult lighting conditions.

Besides ESP, Centre-weighted Average and Spot
metering, the E-500 is equipped with two expo-
sure metering modes that ensure bright subjects
with bright backgrounds as well as dark motifs on
