Axminster 600749 Instructions
General Assembly...
Line up the Pen Body and the Clip (b) and Insert bush, and gently but firmly, press
the bush home until the clip flange is against the body. (force fit) Screw the Twist
Mechanism (f) into the Clip Bush, and gently overtighten. (to hold the Twist
Mechanism in firmly). Carefully align the Top Cap over the Twist Mechanism and
press firmly together (force fit) (See Fig 3).

Tip 1. It may help if a piece of paper et.al., is put between the Clip flange and the
Top Cap when they are pressed together to maintain a minute clearance and
prevent the twist action from binding. Leave the paper in situ, pro temp. Screw the
Brass Insert Bush (d) into the Nib (c). Align the assembly carefully with the body and
gently but firmly press together (force fit) (See Fig 4).

Tip 2. It may help if the Insert Bush is unscrewed ½ turn, it that way, the Nib will
always be able to be tightened up to the body, when the Nib is removed and
replaced to insert the refill. Unscrew the Nib, insert the refill, overcome the spring
pressure and screw the Nib back onto the body (See Fig 5).

N.B.
If, as in tip 1. a paper spacer was put between the Top Cap (c) and the Clip flange,
gentle exercising of the twisting action should allow the paper spacer to be worked
free.
