Pocket GPRS Micro Industrial

THE SIM CARD

PocketGPRS Micro Industrial can works with SIM Card of any GSM
operator.
Be carefull because the USIM are not supported.
1. Turn the Pocket GPRS Micro Industrial off.
2. Insert the SIM card into the SIM holder. Be sure the SIM is inserted
in the correct way being careful that the SIM corner is inserted into the
device, and that the golden contacts are towards circuit board.
3. To remove the SIM card, push it in the device, then release it.
Attention: Check with your GSM provider if your SIM is enabled for SMS and DATA traffic, if not ask him for
this service, he will give you another number for data calls.

CONNECT THE ANTENNA

1. Turn off your Pocket GPRS Micro Industrial.
2. Connect the antenna SMA male connector to the Pocket GPRS Micro Industrial, screwing it clockwise.
3. Place the antenna and the device, and check if there is a good quality signal through the led indicators or AT+CSQ command.

SCREW TERMINAL BLOCK FOR RS485
Connect your RS485 devices to pins 485- and 485+ .
To enable the termination resistance integrated into PocketGPRS Micro Industrial, connect together
the 2 pins: 120 OHM.
SCREW TERMINAL BLOCK FOR POWER SUPPLY
The Pocket GPRS Micro Industrial can be powered from +9 to +32 Vdc using the screw terminal block
found in the package.
The 2 pins + are in parallel
The 2 pins – are in parallel.
For the power supply use only one pin + and only one pin –
You can use the second pin + and the second pin – to switch on another device with the same voltage Vdc:

in this case the power supply must provide an adequate electrical current for both devices.

During the network detection, connection phases and the SMS transmission, will be occurred

peaks of consumption high for few msec, for this reason the PocketGPRS Micro Industrial needs
an adequate electrical current.
At 12Vdc is requested 1000mA current.
Attention: respect the positive and negative pin. The power supply voltage must not exceed the indicated
maximum value as this may cause a damage of the product.
