Cleaning / maintenance / descaling

At least every 2 months: descale (new version)
Important!
Regular cleaning (at least every two months) means better coffee and
makes your appliance last longer.
Scaling is not covered by the guarantee..
Use special descaler (never use vinegar) following the mixing instructions
on the label.
Remove all capsules from the machine before descaling.
Power cuts or switching off interrupt the descaling programme. Then the
cleaning key flashes red/violet because the water circuit still contains descaler
which is a health hazard. Before making another drink in such case, al-
ways make sure the machine is flushed out with clean water.

Remove all capsules from the ma-
chine. Place a large bowl (min. 1.1 l)
under the nozzle. If

machine at intervals. The next step
comes in 22 minutes.
After 300 coffee or tea servings the
cleaning key flashes red during output
. Immediately descale the
machine!

tank, fill with water, and insert. Empty
the bowl and replace under the nozzle.

Mix special descaler with water
and fill the tank (at least 0.5 l; fol-
low the mixing instructions on the
label). Never use vinegar, which
will damage the machine!

water tank. Press

Now the machine is ready for use.
