Induction heating technology is based on the vibration
resistance of certain metals when subjected to
high frequency waves. In some circumstances, these
vibrations can cause a certain degree of noise, such
as the following:
This occurs when cooking at a high power. The cause
of this is the amount of energy which is transmitted
from the hob to the cookware. This noise disappears
or becomes quieter when the power is turned down.
This occurs when the cookware is empty. This noise
disappears when water or food is added to the
cookware.
This noise occurs when cookware is used which
consists of layers of different materials. The noise is
caused by vibrations in the joint faces between the
different layers. This noise is made by the cookware. It
may change depending on the amount and type of
food being cooked.
This noise occurs principally in cookware which
consists of layers of different materials when it is used
at the highest heat setting and on two hotplates next
to each other. This whistling disappears or becomes
quieter when the power is turned down.
