Making a Call
•
Lift the handset and receive Dial Tone or press the
Speaker or Headset (if connected) key
•
For PSTN calls dial the full national or international number
(if allowed)
•
For calls within your site dial the 5 digit extension number
•
For calls to other A2 locations dial the 2 digit site code + the
5 digit extension number
Answering a Call
•
For calls to your Primary Line (bottom right hand key beside
display area) - Lift the handset or press the Speaker or
Headset (if connected) key
•
For calls on other lines assigned on your phone—Lift the
handset or press the Speaker or Headset (if connected)
and press the key beside the flashing phone icon
Releasing a Call (Hang Up)
•
Replace the handset or press the EndCall soft Key
Hold/Resuming a Call
•
To place a call on Hold—press the Hold soft key
•
While the call is on hold you can hang up the receiver
•
To reconnect—press the Resume softkey
Conference a 3rd party
All users have the ability to add a 3rd party onto an active call -
•
Press the Confr soft key—enter the number of the 3rd party
(1st party has been placed on Hold)
•
When the call is answered you can now converse with the
3rd party while the 1st party remains on Hold
•
Press the "Join" soft key to join all 3 parties. If you hang up
the other parties remain connected
Transfer a Call
All users have the ability to transfer active calls to other num-
bers (internal or external). Transfers can be done either as
"Blind" or unmonitored or as "Consultative" or "Supervised"
where you can consult or announce the transfer before trans-
ferring the call.
To initiate a "Consultative/Supervised" transfer (preferred
method) -
•
Press the Confr soft key—enter the number of the party
you wish to transfer the caller to (1st party has been placed
on Hold)
•
When the call is answered you can now announce the
transfer while the 1st party remains on Hold
•
Press the "Join" soft key to join the callers
•
Press EndCall to release yourself from the call.
To initiate a "Blind" transfer -
•
On an active call—press the More soft key
•
Select the BlndXfr soft key
•
Enter the number you wish to transfer the caller to
Do Not Disturb
•
Press Settings button
•
Select Call Preferences using the scroll buttons
•
Using the scroll buttons highlight Do Not Disturb and press
the YES softkey then the Save softkey
•
Status message on phone will now say "Do not disturb"
•
To cancel press the DND soft key
Speed Dials
•
Press Settings button
•
Select Call Preferences using the scroll buttons
•
Using the scroll buttons highlight Speed Dial Lines
•
Select the speed dial line you want to configure and press
the Edit soft key
•
Enter the label number and telephone number assigned to
the button.
•
Press Accept when finished and and press Back soft key 3
times to exit all menus
Forward your Phone
To Forward all calls dialed to your extension to another number
(other than your Voice Mail)
•
Select the CFwdAll soft key,
•
Enter the number to forward your calls to—full national
number or full internal number just as if you were dialing it
directly.
•
Press Accept soft key
•
Your phone will show Forwarded to <number> in the status
line above the soft keys
•
To cancel—press the CFwdAll soft key again
•
NOTE—If you forward your line to a mobile or an out-
side number, you will be charged for forwarded calls as
if you had dialed that number directly.
Muting Your Line
While on an active call press the Mute key
To unmute your line press the Mute key again
Call Logs
All missed, received and placed calls are logged and accessed
via the Directories key-
•
If you have one or more missed calls you will see a mes-
sage on the status line above the soft keys—
•
Press the Directories key to see a list of call logs
•
•
To redial a number use the scroll to highlight the call and lift
the handset (or press Handsfree or Headset keys) and the
call is automatically placed
•
Other options are Delete and toggle list between Missed
and All calls
•
Once the maximum number of calls is stored, new calls are
added and the oldest call will be removed
