3.2.1 Pin Assignment Voltage Supply: Sub-D Plug (15-pole)

This is the power supply connection of the device. The device is powered from a DC source with a voltage
range from 13 V to 72 V DC, which is normally the battery of the vehicle. You can plug the provided power
supply cable (see caption 1, "Scope of delivery") into the connector.

For the protection against a short circuit inside of the device, a fuse is used at the connection ports of the
device (see figure 7). The value of that fuse is 3.15 Ampere slow-blow (TT).
Because it is possible that there is a short circuit at the power supply plug or the power supply cable, the
MFT920 must be protected externally at the machine end. The appropriate value is on the rating plate in the
cable entrance area of the device.
