SYMPTOM
When feeding thick paper, the paper feed motor locks up. This symptom occurs only for
the Multi (A252) version.
CAUSE
There is not enough margin for the original feed motor torque when a thick original is used.
SOLUTION
To improve the machine performance, the following countermeasure has been applied:
1. The software is modified to increase the torque of the original drive motor (for Multi
[A252] versions only) .
The part number is changed from A252 5238 C to A252 5238 D.
2. The spring for the timing belt tension is changed to decrease the tension load (for Multi
[A252] versions only)
The part number is changed from AA06 0541 to AA06 0824.
3. The bushings only on the right side of both of the original drive rollers (P/N AF02 0451)
are lubricated with Mobil Temp 78 to decrease the friction load. (For Multi [A252]
versions only)
